Wait you put meat in a blender and you have a meat nozzle on a caulk gun to make jerky? That's awesome, what cut did you use?

Basically yes. Cabelas has a "jerky pistol" that is a glorified caulk gun. It's made to be used with ground beef. I used grass-fed ground beef from my in-laws, probably an 80-20ish. The gun works best if you run the ground beef in a food processor with water (or flavored liquids) until the meat gets more sticky and paste-like. I use a dehydrator set to the lowest temperature and add smoke if desired afterwards.
