Plain clothed agents can take your money in an airport and you have to prove it’s yours to get it back…

Cold storage.

“Agents have seized millions of dollars, and while travelers aren’t arrested, their money is often administratively forfeited.

Like most civil forfeiture cases, people who have their money taken must prove in court that their money isn’t connected to drug trafficking or other illegal activity”

So much for innocent until proven guilty.

They are getting desperate for money..

Soon they will have nothing to lose

Good thing they could never get rid of that pesky 2nd amendment

Never say never.

And they will never stop trying? 🤔

Al la chingada Los DEA

Same stuff happens if you drive around the southern border with Mexico. I’ve been stopped and asked the same stuff driving 100 miles inside of TX.

CBP has jurisdiction within 200 miles of any border or port, which puts most Americans (and almost all Canadians) under Customs and Border Patrol authority

When ever I travel internationally all my assets are digital. I transfer them when need to just by accessing a computer. In my country traveling with 10,000 is more than enough to get your cash 💵 confiscated. I think it's a ridiculous law yet it is. So when I travel I rarely take any cash except a very low amount for taco or things from local stores that don't operate on a digital platform. As Apple Pay and Google pay is being integrated I see a more adoption of a digital standard like Bitcoin that does not fluctuate on inflation like many government issue monetary notes. Lately I've been experiencing in tourist nations a more adoption to Bitcoin or a digital standard since it is use by multinationals and makes money simpler than dealing with international banking cartels.

Enterig the phase of open disrespect and hostile robbery of its citizens. It doesn't look like but the state prooves its weakness and is nearing the collaps of confidence in its institutions. #Bitcoin to survive this transition and high social volatility.

Is War not an illegal activity?

If they told the DEA agents they are using the money to fund Ukraine and Israel maybe they could have kept it??..

Without the fanta problems

This is like being taken to the police station for questioning. Even if you are innocent, do not consent or speak without an attorney present. It would be interesting to know how much of the seized money is actually associated with criminal activity.

Even if not related to illegal activity, imagine the hassle with getting it back…
