I can attest to the quality of the coldcard. The thing just works.

You'd be supportive of shady business practices and state licensing.
I'd go with SeedSigner & Foundation Passport.
The cool thing with SeedSigner is that you can buy all the parts and build it yourself.
This way you're not buying something people know you'd be using for Bitcoin, aka supply chain risk.
Also SeedSigner is the most feature rich option developed in a grassroots way, completely open source.
Even if you do buy a prepackaged hardware wallet,
I'd still build a Seedsigner as you can use it to educate yourself and verify the other devices are working as they should without being technically savvy.
And someone with no experience could do it?
