On my bucket list. I have grand plans for a 6 month sabbatical where I spend tons of time 10Xing my opsec - includes ham radio.
Old school. I’d like to a ham set up at our cabin.
I'm completely inactive, but I have my Extra ticket.

You can legally listen without a license in most places (IIRC, not in UK). An RTL SDR is a cheap device that can receive a lot of radio transmissions, including HAM bands.

Got my license several years back when I realized one can get a 'close relatives' former call sign, so I took the test on a whim and got my grandfathers call sign and a vanity tag to match. Have his old license plate from 1957 with the same callsign.
All that said, I haven't turned on the radio for more than a year...

N5GSG. I got my license as a kid in 1977 and got back into the hobby in 2021. I do mostly CW on HF and am getting into digital modes. #HamRadio
