Markets can remain irrational for a while yet!

Unless we get rolling blackouts, conflict-linked trade disruptions, or someone drops even a small nuke somewhere.

It makes me think they will never really stop playing the music.

You could get everything you mentioned and the media and politicians would still be pumping out the music trying to get us to keep playing 😂

Truth. I was a kid in the early 90s recession, but I do remember the govt telling people not to worry and to spend money. It didn't work then.

We have a much more openly controlled media ecosystem now, but are also far more dependent on external "black money" capital flows from India and China. Those governments may not choose to play along...
