Singlesig users should have HWWs from at least two vendors even if multisig is not a goal.

You can confirm they're both working properly by cross verifying a dummy wallet - showing the same results on both devices.

This allows non technical people to get verification meanwhile not sacrificing the simplicity of singlesig.

I recommend building a SeedSigner if you already have a prepackaged corporate HWW.

Not only is it the most powerful device on the market, it's also the only one you dont take on supply chain risk with.

Could also use Seed Tool, which is free.

Yes, for the dummy wallet protocol.

The second you want to double confirm a new address out of a real xpub you need a second HWW.

I also like the idea of having a backup HWW, especially a stateless one, Incase your corporate HWW gets bricked.

This has happened to many people many times, especially Coldcards.

Agreed, definitely a nice to have

Some people will say I'm just saying that to hate on Coinkite,

This is not the case - it's just pure fact that has been publicly discussed on Twitter many times - having deleted mine I do not have receipts.

Disclaimer: my old Coldcard still works fine.

Seed Tool does the address gen too

I also recommend printing the Bip39 word list, cutting each word out, and putting it into a jar.

Mix it, shake it, then start drawing & replacing meanwhile continuing to mix until you have 11 or 23 words written down.

Then go to your HWW & generate the 12th or 24th word.

This is the safest way to make a Bitcoin wallet & you'll actually understand why it's so secure using the law of large numbers.
