What is the most annoying problem with zap.store right now, in your opinion?

What should be fixed like right away?

Auto updates, maybe a more accessible view of all apps on Zap?

Yep auto updates is coming soon!

How i can be notified of a new version of zap.store? Also would be nice to import your repos as obtanium, and import/export lists of apps

Notifications, would be great. Exploring background fetches now!

Import your repos as Obtainium, what is your use case? zap.store should recognize the apps you installed via obtainium

Lists will come with recommendations in 0.3! All nostr based

The use case I had in mind is to be able to import apps from their repositories, similar to what Obtanium allows you to do, by pasting a the link of the repo. As such, I could definitely replace Obtanium and switch to Zap.store, but I would still maintain Obtanium by the moment since I have some apps that I want to keep up-to-date, and they aren't available on Zap.store.

Another detail that could be interesting is the ability to attach metadata to files in the repository, similar to how Alby's PkgZap (https://pkgzap.albylabs.com/) allows you to do with all the necessary information to verify an app directly from the repo. This would provide a convenient way to access and evaluate apps without having to visit multiple sources.

I'm thinking we could have a way to manually add APKs. The tricky part is updates, how do we know a new release is out (unless hitting i.e. github's API)?

As for metadata probably not worth it because we're only doing this for the short term. The goal is metadata will live on nostr when devs sign their apps and releases.

A view of all available apps

Why do you want to see all? I don't think we'll list all apps (maybe on our website), and rather focus on curation so you can see different sources of recommendations!

And of course there's always search.

To browse / possibly find apps I wouldn’t have known to search for. I guess curating the discover page makes more sense though, especially as it continues to grow

Thanks for the feedback. Curation will become much better.

With search you can also discover apps (for example, search for "photo")

When I do the "pull" gesture from the left side, I get the side menu with only the log out option instead of being able to go back to the previous screen. It would be nice to open the side menu only when touching the Nostr avatar.

I don't know if more options are planned for that menu. If not, it might be good to remove it altogether and move the log out to the settings menu. Also I'd like to be able to add multiple nostr accounts.

Thanks! By pull gesture you mean swipe right? In Material design (sort of a standard in Android) you need to swipe left from the right border to go back.

The menu is basic at the moment but lots of things are planned.

Yes, I mean swiping right from the left border. In my phone I can use both to go back. I don't remember if it was the default or I enabled it in settings.

Its a bit slow on the installed apps list.

If you press the installed app card it doesn't open the app screen, only if you press the icon or title.

Thank you!

I think its pretty solid. I'd mostly like to see more of the nostr features fleshed out. Can I see the list of apps signed by others I follow? Can I sign them myself?

Thanks! We'd love to see that too. In a few months. It will come

There is no list of all applications available in zap.store.

Suddenly I didn't know there was a good app.

Hang there a bit more. WoT recommendations will solve this!

I would like for devs to start signing their own releases. It's a bit unusable for myself until then. I think you've done a good job so far with the UI.

Thanks! Devs signing implies a lot of work, which we're busy with. It'll come in a few months

Do you know about Flathub/flatpaks on Linux? The situation is kind of bad IMO. I hope your project can be a good alternative to that too. It's why I choose to not use Linux daily.
