it was cool, but you had to use cashapp and couldn't use your own lightning wallet.

You could use both. #[3] bought stuff not using cashapp

nostr:npub1jzuma368395gu523y4vk4d34p0lxgctk436hggn4qcuj93075qgqtn3vm0 tried and wasn't able to do so. maybe he visited a booth that didn't allow it.

I've read that perhaps some of the staff didn't understand how to accept LN payments

I don't see why it wouldn't be allowed, given you can pay for goods in USD cash without kyc. maybe nostr:npub1ds3hmzemzgp9rsuvyvxqdk0y3uxnq9m903dktjxrvyfwk9w99t4sc2hzcncan confirm

I paid for cayenne pepper and espresso both with Blixt. Vendor generated a Lightning invoice and I paid it instantly. The bar was cash app or fiat only. Definitely was disappointed with that.

Yeah, can confirm. I spoke to someone and they thought they could only get bitcoin with their CashTag. Fortunately the vendors I bought from were more informed

The vendors had the ability to receive from any LN wallet into their cash app.

Perhaps some got confused but it speaks to the need for more education and direct experience.

Why was that? Doesn't CashApp support lightning invoices?

it does, but nostr:npub1jzuma368395gu523y4vk4d34p0lxgctk436hggn4qcuj93075qgqtn3vm0 tried to do this. i just took the sats and sent them to my node. i didn't need anything from the market.

They forced you to pay using a “cash tag”.

I didn't pay with CashApp at all. I used Phoenix and Breez and scanned their QR codes
