I think welfare should be community driven only.
Only the people closest to you can tell when you have a real need due to unfortunate circumstances.
Only people who see you in day to day life can accurately judge if you’re abusing the good will of others.
It’s not welfare it’s organized theft via congressman.
Imagine how much real charity we could have without taxes taking half of what productive people earn
You read my mind. Some of the most generous people I’ve known have been wealthy people that are well off because they’re earning modest undocumented income and don’t pay taxes.
I think about this sometimes. My current thinking is the State has inserted itself where family and community used to exist in order to a) destroy family and community so that b) it could make people dependent on the State so that it becomes all powerful.
Yes, but its not just govt. It is satan, working across generations to slowly degrade family and community.
