People think algos create disagreements ?

People think algos create disagreements ?

Because they think nobody would be interested in a controversy, if computers didn't tell them to be, because humans aren't interested in other humans.
We would just spend all day sending each other good vibes and reminding each other to stack sats. If we could be bothered to show up, which we can't, because it's so dull that we go check out what's on X.
I think people create disagreements, not algos. People argue on nostr all the time
Yeah, 😂
People argue IRL, too. Makes me wonder, if these complainers are complete hermits or what. 🤷♀️
lot of conflict-averse people out there, posing as evolved, when really they’re just fearful of being challenged
Yeah, I'm totally here for the challenge. 😁
I'm that chick in the algorithm design class, frantically waiving my hand to explain to the computer science professor that the program snippet on his slide actually has the loop turning the wrong way.

Social media is entertaining and a great start but I don’t think that’s the main use case for #nostr. Right now, #nostr like going to a meet-up where after a couple of hours you say to yourself ‘Ok, I’ve had enough.’ But you keep coming back because there are really good nuggets, and the price of these nuggets is regularly attending the meet-ups.
Nostr is slowly beginning to turn social media around.
Instead of there being socializing with occasional links to media or topics, there will be media/topics with socializing about and around them.
It's sort of entertaining watching them max-dullify their own feeds and then go
"It's so great that everyone here loves each other and only has one opinion.
I've now lost interest in social media and will never use Nostr again because I'd rather go argue with my neighbor about his habit of mowing the lawn, while I sleep in after a nightshift because that arse pisses me off. Bye!"
I guess it depends who’s in your feed. Sure there is some group think but I see some disagreements too. It’s more civilized than on twitter for sure
I probably see less group-think because I arrived later and have a more heterogenous group of newbies in my follows. The first arrivals were a clique before they even came, and I showed up in the second wave.
I’m from the end of 2022 batch. Teitter refugee 😂. But newbies or not, write a note saying inflation is theft/nostr is freedom of speech and the group think is there. Even if it’s true it’s still group think
