If you use Primal you might be seeing follow bots who follow and unfollow nonstop. You can turn it off in notification settings.
It is indeed primal, would you suggest something different?

Just mute whatever profile keeps fallowing and unfollowing you. It’s the only way.
Go to notification settings and uncheck getting notified when someone follows you
