Being there is a little overrated for me. I like being able to see all the angles on tv and the replays.

Different strokes. I like the entire live experience. Roar of the crowd. Beers in the stands with friends. It's a good time, I don't get that from a broadcast. Like a concert vs an album with music. Technically the album sounds better, but it's not the same as seeing them on stage.

I think it’s interesting how the experience at the stadium is much worse when it is a bad and boring game though. It’s like there is no in between.

Add more beers 🍻😂

I hate beer. Tastes like ass and smells bad too

Hmmm…I like beer🤔

…Altho I gotta admit it’s more for the “irritating buzz” than the great taste😳🤷🏽‍♂️

…well that and the social aspect …I find it a great lense through which to view my sorry *ss frenz🤦🏽‍♂️🤭😂😂

Point deducted. Bad take. Unless you’re talking college game. Pro games aren’t worth the price of admission.

As a youngster I got to watch Sakic during the season he scored 78 goals & 160 points in 72 games. Swift Current, a small barn but really loud. I think that's where I got the taste for live being better.

Sakic was a fuckin beast. One of the best to ever play & arguably the best.

Agreed. That last season in junior he was already at NHL level. It was crazy to watch.

Personally, I notice details better live than on video. Video is a nice as a replay to break down a specific segment, but when watching live I get a much better sense of what's happening overall.

I'm Swift the volunteers were seated right behind the opposition bench. You got an inside view into the game that way.

John Paddock singled me out in the 2018 playoffs for yelling too loud and I had to tone it down during the playoff series with the Pats. I took that as a compliment 😂🤣

How Node uses Nostr now.

2 minutes, SatsMcD for instigating 😂

Great episode.

I didn't even get to use my Robin material 😤

Mute lists are public FYI

Really? How can you check that ?.

You’re serious?

..yes?

Everything is public on nostr. Except the new DMs (and the old DMs but just the content)

Neat

Check out the client nostrudel.ninja when you go on someone’s profile you can see who mutes them

That’s good information like inverted wot

Yes. What’s interesting is that some follow and mute at the same time

Confession from the ⭕️: I am Soham Parekh🤷🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️

Feels good to get that off my lil tarded chest🙏🏽🌅⭕️

I love this dude❤️…he’s the ultimate sh*tcoin ⭕️ Human Resources 😂🤣🫡

…hate the game not the playa😳🤭🫂🤌🏽

He juggled those startup jobs like a pro

Go back to where you came from Stacey

This is neat!

There’s a lot of stuff on that client. Loads of features. I find it’s more of a toolbox than a client for me. I prefer a simpler interface for day to day use

Depends on the app. Public and private lists are part of the NIP. I know Amethyst & Jumble use the encrypted versions. My public list shows 3 or 4, but my private one has like 270 npubs on it. Probably like 70% are reply guy bots 😂

This is true. Amethyst has the private one. Yeah I have a lot of the bots from the past 2 years

I think that’s why I kinda don’t like it. There’s this weird sheep vibe I feel when I’m in the stands. You like get swept into the crowd and become part of the masses. Think like they do and react in unison it’s weird. I feel that a little sometimes at sports bars too when they’re really packed for a big game and it’s a home team so there’s no oppositional side.

I don't watch games from a fan POV, so it doesn't affect me the same. Watching live is just way better to see strategy on-ice. On tv, they continually change the camera angle, so I lose track of what's happening.

Live is definitely more fun (from a fan’s perspective). I also find, for me, hockey was much more entertaining to watch in the mid to late 90s than it is now

Interesting 🤔

I watch hockey from the 70s to early 00s, once in a while for research purposes. I find the games so much more boring and slow tbh.

Maybe knowing it has already happened takes the excitement out?

Partly that and partly the nostalgia. I used to watch as a kid every weekend. Had my favourite players. The rivalries. Now I lost interest. I’ll watch here and there with friends but it’s not the same. Going to the game though, that makes it way funner as you said. The constant camera angle changes

And also I’m not a pro. Just a fan’s perspective

I think there's definitely something to following something constantly. If you don't keep up with who's who and how the teams are doing, there isn't as much of a connection with the teams you're watching. That makes complete sense.

I'm like that 😂. My wife watches more hockey than I do. She knows everyone and everything. She was telling me about the draft and the trades that were made last week, but I don't know who any of those people are.

That’s funny 🤣

I do a pool with friends every year and honestly I have no idea what’s going on. But it’s fun to trash talk with friends and watch a few games
