Does anyone have experience with colon cleansing with โ€œPrunus Mume,โ€ also known as โ€œgreen plumโ€ or โ€œApan apricotโ€? It is a fermented plum and is said to cleanse the intestines.

I was given two of these as a gift and want to give them a try...but I'd love to hear if anyone has used them before.

I once did a really intensive cleanse a few years ago with Epsom salts, olive oil and grapefruit juice. It's called a liver flush. So probably something completely different than โ€œjustโ€ using a plum ๐Ÿ˜†

Ive never used it, but Sienna tea has been good for cleanses for me.

Oh yes, Senna is the typical plant against constipation...I never thought of it as a cleansing plant. Senna should not be used regularly, as it increases intestinal constipation...

The plums are very interesting, as they are fermented and have a old tradition in Japan for cleansing. It's gut healthy... :)
