coinjoins are now called collaborative transactions. a totally different and legal thing.
Discussion
I think CT is already understood to mean confidential transaction. Maybe MPT: multiparty tx?
freedom transaction πΊπΈ
similar for "mining", which should be referred to as collaborative block production
Yeah and CDO's -> BTO's never forget
I store my sats in a βvaultβ because I hear unhosted wallets are not compliant. Better safe than sorry.
I think theyβve always been legal. The screws have a theory that theyβre not legal, but time will tell. Weβre not using Clipper chips ffs.
Anyone wanna go splitsies on transaction? High fees r killing me
Party transactions.
YOU GOTTA FIGHT FOR YOUR RIGHT TO PAAAARTAAAAY!
I prefer to think of them as Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion of bitcoin transactions.

It's all about the marketing. Maybe we can get some memers to showcase the new branding?
Collective Transactions
It will please the State Collectivists
Your post implies that when they acre called coinjoin, they are not legal. WTF?
I donβt make the rules
The real issue is the centralized coordination service who takes a fee. JoinMarket could work, but I still think the future is #PayJoin.
Normalize building PayJoin into typical spending patterns which has no distinct on-chain fingerprint, and which can result in reduced tx fees (afaik). Break the heuristics, improve everyoneβs plausible deniability.
The fee was actually novel. It served both as one of the few sustainable revenue sources for open source development but also functioned as an anti sybil attack mechanism. The fee was a benefit to devs and users.
That may be, but it sure does highlight the central point of failure, and paint an easy target for regulators.
always were
THERE ARE NO COINS
THERE ARE NO WALLETS
THERE ARE JUST SIGNED MESSAGES TO FRIENDS
I shall start making collaborative transactions party invites, you know?
I'd be like the Avon/Jafra/Mry Kay lady... but with glue, glitter, watercolors... and we get together to celebrate our collaborated transactions...
What you think???
Thank you!!!πππ

It's like a group chat but we speak in numbers.
Which actually better reflects whatβs going on there. The devil is in the details π¬
collaborative inclusive transactions of colour π
Always has been..
call them trans. call anyone who is against them a transphobe. problems solved!
if Coinjoins where called collaborative trans-actions. They would have their own flag.
