If religions taken to their doctrinal ends are incompatible on the individual level how do we coexist? This question scares me and seems important.

I follow the Gita and it's pretty easy to extrapolate how it's teachings of individual freedom and adherance to one's nature lead to a highly functioning coexistence in a society.

I'm Hindu and grew up studying the Gita and other Vedanta for children at Sunday school. But the Gita and Upanishads are the most important to me.
