Ngl I thought about leaving nostr forever yesterday because the publishing of that piece was such a nightmare. I cried because if someone REALLY needs to say something on nostr I don’t want them to go through that.
Example: activist, journalist, whistleblower, political dissident, survivor
I was so confused why I couldn’t see it. Some people could see it and others couldn’t. I’m not blaming anyone and I’m not mad but it was frustrating.
If you faced any issue, feel free to tag me and YakiHonne and we will get most of your questions answered. Just a side note: if you see a flow in Nostr that is working with most of the client, there is a high chances that is following the specs and others didnt update accordingly just all. or you can just use the "post in a note" feature from the dashboard right 3 dots to just share your article within a note, rather than quoting it

Can you tell me what exactly happened immediately after hitting publish?
For example, did you receive some notification or feedback element from Yakihonne “article was published successfully”
Were you able or not able to immediately see the article in its’ published form?
What else happened?

I hit publish and went to Damus to see if it was there. It wasn’t. I grabbed links from primal and tried to post it. The posts weren’t showing up for people. I’ll link below what people saw.
I spent 10 minutes trying to log on to habla.news. Couldn’t get in because there was nowhere to put my nsec.
Lost my mind and the community found it on most clients except for Damus. I posted it again. Same problem.

I believe you shared this note from damus, and damus uses note1 for long-form notes mentioning rather than its format naddr I found this issue before also.

It is naddr in the event. However, it still does not load in damus.
The thing that tripped me out was that I had written other pieces posted the exact same way and they had shown up. That’s part of why I freaked out.
I think the best solution is to write and share in one place, I' m uploading the video soon, then other clients can see what it is missing for them add adjust it. In addition, you can also directly copy paste the full link of the article (old school way) within the note
Here you go, if you didnt find it in YakiHonne and njumb.me it won't exist in any other place, if you found it it means other clients that you seek your content to be visible in have an issue with it.

The outstanding question how did the unhappy path earlier described take place.
I think 2 parts are crucial actually 2.5:
- the `root issue that i mentioned earlier, when the content is not short notes.
- Damus (maybe others not sure) assume the mentionned content is a shot note thats why we can see the note1, however due it is clearly not kind-1, so wrong encoding in here, perhaps the quoting triggered it.
- the .5 part is that: some clients handle the mentions while others handle quotes exclusively and not both.
Thats why I suggested nostr:npub1yye4qu6qrgcsejghnl36wl5kvecsel0kxr0ass8ewtqc8gjykxkssdhmd0 to minimize the actions to one client, and we see how we notify others to fix such things.

I broadcasted it just to be sure. So you can try clicking the naddr again to see if that fixed it. If you could go to your settings and copy the version number to here that will also help clarify things.

This is how my Damus profile looks to me right now. No article.
Can you copy your version to here? It’s in settings at the bottom. Also you have a very large number of relays (27), i would target around 4-7. Not sure if thats a problem here but damus can get unstable when you have too many …
My Damus currently says that I have 14 relays. I deleted a bunch. Here is the same article posted today to try to help to see if the problem was fixed.

That’s it. I can not see it on my Damus account currently. The community could half see it and half not see it. Different clients had it visible. It was a community effort to figure out what went wrong.

When I open the profile on Damus I can only see the original introduction post. The long form posts do not appear. Also in my feed I can't see them even if I follow the hashtag etc. Only thing that works for me is searching manually via note id then the note shows up.

I need to look at how the query changed and how it might be affecting it
