Guys!!! Why does my fresh egg look like this?! 🫣
Discussion
because it's a real egg from a happy chicken?
Wow 👀
Low calcium?
i dunno, it might be a problem with the chicken's egg canal having bumps on it, could be cancer maybe
i've occasionally seen eggs with ripply bits on them but never that much
There's a bunch of causes, calcium deficiency just seems the most likely. Age will do it too. New layer or getting old. Or maybe she was just under the weather. It happens a lot at the beginning of laying season but idk if Hawaiian hens would ever stop laying like cold weather hens do. The egg takes too long to harden. If it happens more than once, she's likely prone to get eggbound.
I've seen some misshapen eggs before but never to that extreme. Could be different causes.

Chicken was constipated
Didn't go for her latest round of fillers
Silly putty?
It's what they look like when a hen first starts laying.
The egg inside is fine.
