Anyone processing their own poultry I can highly recommend you look into pithing. It’s so much cleaner than cones or guillotines and much less stressful for the bird and the humans.

What does this involve? A needle in the back of the neck?
We use a tool grimly called ‘The Finisher’. Just straight in at the base of the skull and a little twist. Very quick, no blood and no fuss.
Looking into this. Processing a batch in a couple of weeks.
