Here’s how I shop for eggs.

Even better. If you can, seek out the farmer’s directly and bypass the grocery store altogether.
This is how I shop for eggs every week. Local pasture eggs P2P paid with sats.

Nice
It is so awesome having completely free range chickens. Its like watching a herd of dinosaurs running around the yard. When they aren't caged, they hardly ever eat their laying mash that most definitely has soy and corn in it.
Paul - what about the mobile pasture raised eggs? I don't know what they eat though. Thx!!
I feel fortunate to have access to pasture raised organic eggs that are corn and soy free...very hard to find in stores!
Whoa Paul Saladino zapped me 😳🙏
Store bought eggs, due to commercial feed, are basically 2nd-hand seed oils. 🛢
Even when the chickens are not fed corn or soy, they are often feed peanuts or other nuts/seeds/grains. 🥜
Angel Acres are not only doing rotational, pasture raised eggs without corn or soy, but they are specifically engineering an ancestral diet that yields LOW PUFA in the eggs. 🪱
Finally, chicken producers are hotbeds for pharmaceutical products. I don't know about you, but I don't want to be feeding my family food vaccines or mRNA products. Angel Acres are needle free. 💉
Vote with your sats.

Don't know where you live but here "pasture raised" means pasture raised.
As in the only grains they're eating are the ones growing in the pasture.
Their diets are mostly herbaceous sprouts, insects, and whatever seeds are available growing in the actual pasture.
If you're in a colder climate grain over winter or destocking over winter becomes necessary.
The best eggs will always be backyard hens that are loved and cared for and allowed to forage and fed kitchen scraps.
Pasture raised is second.
And "barn raised" is actually far worse than caged for both quality of eggs and cruelty to the birds.
And if you see the same brand or company selling "caged" and "free range" the "free range" is generally just barn raised with a few square metres of outdoor area to dust bath.
A company that only sells "free range" will have much better living standards for their free ranged birds than any company that does both free ranged and caged.
