Open source developers have such a rough time monetizing their products.

I get notices from Ghostery and Adblocker whenever they do an upgrade, but they never include their npubs!! And they always want US Dollars for some stupid reason.

Whats also true is that most projects demand more than the maintainers are capable of, why spend time making it pretty and easier to collect donations when I could just be working on it, doing what I'm good at. While donations help it's not enough for people to quit their full time gigs, so donations aren't going to change anything.
