Stuff like AGILE development , and mindset and all that shite.

Is that a load of bollox , and I can just skip it when learning about web development , or is it worth doing it ?

That is mostly for working in teams and keeping dysfunctional people adjacent to your team from abusing engineers.

None of it is bad, and it is *far* better than older paradigms of SDLC, but for personal learning, focus on the basics.

I had to look up the term...

It sounds like it's more in the arena of project management.

If you're learning web development for personal projects etc, it's probably not worth going to deep on.

If you're considering development from an employed/freelance perspective, a bit of that couldn't hurt.

If you're selling your services directly to a client, and you don't have a project manager handling things, one of the more difficult aspects of the role is being able to accurately timescale and cost a job.

If it's not something you've done before, it can be tricky to anticipate all of the hurdles you're likely to face, along the way.

I suppose this is what 'AGILE' techniques aim to assist with.

Knowing the basics might be helpful. But every company does things a little different. You’ll pick it up on the job.
