I originally planted 10 crowns about 10 years ago. I lost several the first couple of years and the others just seemed to struggle along. The last couple of years I have noticed new plants coming in between the others, and the plants have looked a lot more healthy.. I'm guessing from crowns spreading and seeds from the plants seeding themselves.
