Nostr social clients are integrating the Lightning Network via zaps.
I'm looking forward to existing Lightning Wallets integrating nostr too!
Not as another micro social apps, but populating a Wallet Friend List with nostr Contact List (s) makes so much sense, imo.
Makes me think of Elon’s comment years ago about his vision of building the “X app” — the ultimate integration of many life functions. And if it was on a decentralized platform, wouldn’t that be the ultimate tool of freedom and sovereign living?
Yes, but the nice part of decentralised protocols is that there's no need to build all those features in a single app.
Imo, different functions should be distributed in several apps, all of them working together through decentralised protocols (nostr, Lightning Network, etc).
And each user choosing the preferred apps or services.

whereas nostr can be something like the DID protocol behind your analogous twitter, github, reddit, substack, signal, etc etc account

Bluesky sounds like mastodon for commercial social media platforms.
I don’t think nostr is something that can be stopped , so I’m pretty sure it will keep going on and on. As long as there are relays it will continue to exist. I’m making my own right now, this community has been crazy amazing , peace Jon!
