Or do you suspect they were just preparing for a potential negative regulatory shift and this felt like an opportune time? 🤔

I think they see the writing on the wall and a group of open source devs putting out a free app can't afford a legal fight with the US government, nor can they afford compliance.

he prolly meant that they dont do charity. they charge a lot of money for inbound and outgoing payments. a lot. so they have some resources
