It's going to be interesting to see how zapping influences the content & development.

I think as individuals we need to become clear on what content & action we desire. Zap that which we want more of.

I've no desire to incentivise zap beggars any more than encouraging attention whores on the bird app.

Agreed, it is going to be interesting to see how this works going forward. I think at the moment there are a lot of zaps going around just because we can and it’s fun, but this should move more towards using zaps to incentivise quality content that we want to see.

Exactly, we are currently feeling our way through this. We are playing with zaps & that is not a bad thing.

Every zap is a signal much stronger than any like or share. As nostr grows, there will be things we don't like amplified & things we appreciate lost. We can use zaps & our follows/filters to correct this without creating silos & circle jerks.

Be careful not to zap from a place of neediness or guilt. Fear is a product of the scarcity mindset & we will leave it behind as we move towards a bitcoin standard. Scarce money promotes abundance, while fear reinforces beliefs in scarcity.

Abandon your fears & zap your unconditional love.

I've been wondering if the idea/excitement/wonderment of zapping will last. I like the idea of it allowing me to offer a sincere gesture and the future possibilities it presents. But I do wonder about whether it's got a gimmicky flavour about it.

Gimmicks never last.

They said bitcoin was a beanie babies & tulips. A fad that would never last.

I think zaps will continue but that they'll change in format. I prefer anonymous zaps.

Anonymous is better.
