My team just won a game. It is nice. What is less delightful, is seeing young 7/8 yro fans from my side waving bye in a snarky manner to the losing team, who played gamely. So ugly from otherwise cute littles; puts me off sports altogether

A lot of losing teams wouldn't shake our hands when I played bball.
We were aggressive & shit talkers on the court - so I always understood - but we never ever were snarky - if a teammate of mine was I told him he'd better get ready for next practice bc bullies get bullied in my jungle 🤣🥲🫣
You know the parents are such trash. Good on you. Get ‘em! if players do it, it is more tolerable to me, because they are laying their bodies and time on the line, but it is still unsportsmanlike. We have one gifted player who has merited 3 technicals (one a flagrant 2), which cost his team, and got him thrown out of games. One in a tournament quarterfinal last year. I could wring his neck because it is so unnecessary, and often costly, besides setting the crappiest example for the littlest sports fans. And our sportscasters excuse it with “CBM just gets officiated differently”, as if he doesn’t have to rise above his emotions and play the cards he’s dealt, like all the other players.
ugh that's awful.
