And their algorithm’s purpose trickles down to shareholders, via eyeballs on screens that are gained by divisiveness and shock and mindlessness. Algorithms built for enjoyment, usefulness, connectedness and exclusion of toxicity will survive, while the others will simply wither on the ignored relay.
not all algorithms are bad. the problems that arose in the past on legacy platforms were because users had no choice and there was no transparency. nostr fixes all of this.

Like the one nostr:npub1utx00neqgqln72j22kej3ux7803c2k986henvvha4thuwfkper4s7r50e8 rolled out the other day. I clicked into it to see if I could set it up and wasn’t sure where to start. I’d love a screen recording of someone implementing it. I was asking myself: “Is the algo like that one that I configure and ‘follow’ like a user that shows up after I configure it? Or do I set it up on my relay somehow?”
