not all algorithms are bad. the problems that arose in the past on legacy platforms were because users had no choice and there was no transparency. nostr fixes all of this.

And their algorithm’s purpose trickles down to shareholders, via eyeballs on screens that are gained by divisiveness and shock and mindlessness. Algorithms built for enjoyment, usefulness, connectedness and exclusion of toxicity will survive, while the others will simply wither on the ignored relay.

I’d love a screen recording of someone implementing it. Totally. I want an algorithm and I want to pick and control it. Relay, please give me the firehose and let my client do the algorithm.
I believe we can make absolutely fantastic algorithms on nostr, where any developer can contribute to the overall efforts. I have one in the works right now that is very basic, but is already giving me a superior experience on nostr to any setup I had before with lists.
