the way someone explained it to me is:
#nostr is the #protocol like email is a protocol and there are different apps that use this protocol like gmail or outlook (&others). there is #amethyst and #primal (&others)
Primal is just another nostr app.
#smij uses amethyst on #android. I like it #best of the several I've tried.

I’m not a fan of the Primal layout but it is pretty good for people migrating over. Personally I changed apps but app choice is personal preference as is interfacing with Nostr via a browser or desktop client. For now, I’ll upload video to YT, BitChute and Rumble and utilise their server space for video uploads and share the link on Nostr. If the videos get pulled then so be it. I’ll explore hosting my own video server. I’d love see something similar to LBRY (block chain video service) emerge on the Nostr network one day in the future. There is a lot of potential and where it goes is anyone’s guess.
Still dont understand half of that but ill trust the process. Only 2nd day here with virtually no tech understanding. 😁

Not a farmer, Bitcoin is good. Free speech is a pipe dream but at least we can own our own data and cannot be censored. Nostr is cool because unlike the other platforms it has not been commercialized. Love the content. I can see why tictok might shut you down, they can't handle the smoke.🤣
