GM, what do you like about it
It's dead simple and you can hide away all the fields you don't use. I just use it for ad hoc tasks I need reminders for on my phone.
I have a WebDAV service running at home that I sync to my phone with DAVx, and tasks accesses the to-do list. So it's a good client for self-hosted tasks.

GM. I use Apple Notes lists.
Microsoft To Do is very good, but in an attempt to drop big tech, I'm playing with an Obsodian plug in.

'Tasks' - it's the closest to 'ToDo' I've found with some granularity. Just playing atm, havnt made the switch as ToDo is ingrained.

I've been using Google tasks. I use obsidian for most things but need calendar sync for tasks
I'm exploring an app called tick tick because it comes with tasks, Pomodoro, habit Tracker and an Eisenhower matrix. Downside is it has a subscription. I want all of this without a monthly fee
Exact same here, don't want the fee and ideally FOSS. The calendar integration is nice on Google. Will have a look at tick tick, cheers.
Will see if I can find something with calendar too.

Obsidian Tasks plugin, I also have notes in Obsidian so having tasks + notes in the same app is neat
GM, wife texts me. That's it.
The hackability is extremely low.
It’s a distributed app with no kyc.
- no reminders
- can't sync between family members
- doesn't show up on my calendar
- if list gets long you have to move to a new page and reqrite things because completed tasks don't auto erase
but I like it for gym workouts 😁
We are definitely in different worlds.
- no calendar
- no meetings
- family members know what they are responsible for
- satisfying ‘scratch through’ on completion
- I look at it for reminding me what I’m focusing on next
- if the list gets longer than a page, I have serious issues on my end to resolve
