Well, the idea behind the wording as it is, is to from the get go frame is as 'Not a social media thing', but appearently 'innitialy a social media thing'.
Frankly on FOSDEM a banner with "Death to all APIs - Nostr" would probably be best.
Haha! Know your audience is always best.
Your slogan definitely captures what you're aiming towards.
