You could follow a few accounts in the NSFW topic. No GMs or carnivore diet tips there!

Veery good question. My current solution is spending lots of time individually finding people through interaction. Sometimes searching a specific term helps.

Follow all the hashtags you like, mute all the regarded people. There are tons of people here, but many don’t post often. I have found that posting passionate notes about your interests is a great way to connect with like-minded people because those people will react to your note, giving you the opportunity to follow them and increase the quality of your feed, just check their profile first to see if it’s full of garbage you don’t want to see. The other thing is relays, which I don’t fully understand yet. Some have way more users than others, so experiment with adding some, the ‘broadcast’ your notes to reach more people. It’s a work in progress for new users

Follow what you want to see more of and unfollow what you want to see less of!

Just follow ppl who enrich your timeline and don't spam.

In this closer network you still get messages from outside through boosted posts and answers.

At the moment a follow on nostr is not "I like you". It's "I want more of that".

This way I unfollowed a lot of ppl I like but just wasted my time with their posts.

For the meme spammers I made a special "spammers" account and check it once a month...

I just follow everybody and anybody. Still get loads of GM but that is kind of nice...

I guess GMs are part of a Nostr culture. Following people with different content makes the difference! If you don’t like what you see on here, it is kind of your fault. Also consider we’re only 20’000 active npubs right now!

I’m on the other end of the stick. I have cool content to share for people who like art, I’m sure that they’re out there, but how to get on their radar?

You can create lists of people and save it as a feed. (The lists can’t be edited once you make one…yet) but I’ve found this tool incredibly useful. Especially for just keeping up with what my friends are posting.

You could find people by exploring topics in the explore section.

But no, Nostr isn’t really incredibly diverse yet. And that’s up to us to bring our friends who might bring their friends.

M8. I'd say no. Simply because and there is no polite way to say this but after a few weeks of carnivore, your gut seems to reset and you can get biblical diarrhea, sometimes for over a week. This is what happened to me. It's quite common during the early stage of carnivore. So if I were you I'd do it when you can be within meters of a nice bathroom at all times. 💩💩💩

You curate your feed by curating your feed.

Unfollow the people that post things you don't want to see and follow people that you want to see. Be ruthless about it, don't feel bad about unfollowing (or muting) your friends. Also do digging into random people - open their profile pages and see if you like their posts and if you do then follow them. After this check who they follow (e.g. open all these people in new tabs) and do the same process.

Some clients also allow following hashtags, which can help to some degree.
