The real story is, in short, she falsely accused him of calling her stupid, called the cops and pressed charged, and he was arrested and could have been imprisoned for 8 years according to El Salvadorian law. But Bitcoin Twitter made a stink about it, so he got released. So, I won't be moving there!

True. That's a "Nope!" kind of situation to me.
Right I would never want to live there
Seems like there have been a handful of news items lately indicating El Salvador may not be the bitcoin paradise, or any paradise, that it had been portrayed as by some.
Kudos to those who remain skeptical of political heroes.
