This came to mind because I was listening to an album by Artificial Language the other day, and was thinking "Wow this sounds really classical, I think that's why I like it."
I've listened to more classical music since I started getting into metal, and I think there's a link.
Perhaps black metal especially (might not be your thing). Stuff like Emperor, might be an obvious suggestion but still.
