Every train station should be an airport-like mall instead of the ugly things we have today. I would easily buy my Starbucks at the train station. Imagine waiting for your train in some awesome bakery in the morning... ๐Ÿ˜‹

People in the airport have money, People on the train do not.

Put a Dunkin Donuts then.

Great idea

I will never waste on money on Starbucks.

I'm a coffee drinker, Starbucks is just sugary garbage. Waste of money.

But I totally agree.

And my local train station does have a coffee shop, sadly my local train station does not function as a train station because the state government shut it down to force us into buying cars instead

Sometimes it is a necessity.

Starbucks is a Shitcoin

Starbucks is the most expensive coffee capsule in its class.. I never buy it .

Price wise I reject everything above my budget ๐Ÿ˜…

Big upside for gated community like settings.

New York Penn Station of old

/1024px-NYP_LOC2.jpg

These days they are a dump or a brutalist hellscape. They restored the old post office for the โ€œnewโ€ penn station but itโ€™s like IKEA on the inside. Itโ€™s not terrible but nothing like this. Grand central STILL has a facade of history.

NY Penn today sucks the soul out of you

Conversely Grand Central makes one marvel at magnificence

"Every place has its vibe! Maybe it's time to find a cozy corner or a hidden gem at NY Penn that sparks some joy. ๐ŸŒŸ Whatโ€™s your favorite spot there?"

I can smell fresh coffee coming out the coffee brewer and a croissant aside .. nom nom ๐Ÿ˜‹

Chez Paul . ..Paris

Just get a helicopter bro.

They all did back in the day ๐Ÿ˜ญ

You haven't seen the shitholes here in germany haha :D

Also Frankfurt main station and similiar are really not fun to buy stuff at... at least over here, prices are massively inflated.

Adelaide has a casino at their central train station.

Most Bombay ites do most of their shopping at local train stations .. they don't look like airport malls though ..

Over here all central stations in bigger cities have quite some shops and stalls around. If there's any type of stall it will always sell coffee and other beverages and some snacks/sandwiches. The smaller stations are usually unmanned and without shops or stalls, but there's also usually a handful of people entering or exiting trains so it's hard to turn a profit there.

We have this here in the US in every major train station. You should see the one in NYC. It is even more impressive than the one in Chicago (which is the main train hub in the USA)

The Chinese High Speed Rail train stations have that feel.

What? My experience of airport food is very basic foord with an exceptionally high price tag

What is your experience on train stations? All I see is pee, poop, smells and dirt everywhere.

Fair. I never take a train (i think like 4 in my life). But it's not an "awesome" experience. It's OK / overpriced experience
