Yes we need more of this energy
I'd rather we implement systems and technology that greatly reduce the need for this. It's glamorized but I bet you most of those men did not want to do that. It's horrible to have to result to something like this. I want it to happen less often because it doesn't need to.
You also run the very likely risk that the people doing it won't be doing it for reasons you think are right. You can't have a functional society where people do this frequently for opposing values.

That you know. You're choosing who to associate with. There absolutely are armed people who are sore losers. You don't get to choose who takes up violence. That's why I think it's best to not have more of it.
And to be clear I'm not saying nothing should be done. I'm saying that violence is a tool that can be wielded by people you disagree with. I don't see how you could then argue against them if you're asking for more of it in society. Do you raise a gang you agree with and go to war with them in the street? Sounds like a miserable fucking place to live to me. We don't live in the 40s anymore. We can do better and should.
