Bitcoin has the fastest transactions of anything in crypto by miles. It literally isn't even a race anymore.

And no i don't mean lightning. I mean Bitcoin on chain. If you don't understand why that is verifiably true, then you don't understand how any of this works.

I’ll bet the first to admit I have no idea. It seem that Solana can transact circles around Bitcoin.

Help me understand. Are you referring to roll-ups? Or some other layer 2 technology?

I’m retarded but even I understand there isn’t any final settlement on “Solana” the entire chain can be rewritten by the company at will since they control it totally.

6 confirmations on Bitcoin are infinitely faster than “never” and that 1 hour is many orders of magnitude faster to settle than other proof of work chains that attempt to offer settlement, such as oversea shipments of gold bullion for example.

And if you are talking transactions then cashu tokens can be settled instantly as a bearer token even offline and over the internet in milliseconds while maintaining a clear abstraction and settlement in Bitcoin.

I think the idea is a BTC transaction is thermodynamically irreversible after about an hour, so fully settled. Other chains like Solana may incorporate the tx faster, but final settlement can’t be guaranteed over the same time frame.
