So I assume the government collects all, knows all, and is the keeper of patients knowledge.

But the doctors, and patients, have virtually so little information for the doctors to be able to help them?

I asked my doctor what my blood type was and he was reluctant and didn’t tell me. ffs

tbf depending on how long you’ve been with that pcp he may not know as ABO/Rh typing isn’t typically included on a routine CBC for primary prevention purposes. Only time I order those is when I think/know someone is going to need a blood transfusion to ensure compatibility. That being said, if you ever had surgery, donated blood, etc. it should be able to be found in the records (somewhere)

but that’s the point…he may not have those records…another entity might 🤪
