Being sovereign is easy.

If someone tells you its "too hard" to self custody or use a hardware wallet just because it's unfamiliar, they think you're stupid & you shouldn't listen to them.

This is how easy it is to protect yourself from 99% of the problems that lose people their #Bitcoin...

And there are a plethora of other great hardware wallets out there too. There's no excuse to not protect yourself when it's this easy.

Grow a pair and take ownership of your Bitcoin.)

True, it's not too difficult. If someone wants to, they can. It all starts in our minds. Though for adults, it may take more time to unlearn things, to think outside the box, and to put in the effort to become truly free. That’s why we care so much about educating the youngersyers: Bitcoin, creativity, and critical thinking. They’re still pure and naturally 'hungry' for the truth. We want to help raise a sovereign generations ☺️

Lord!

If I can do it, anyone can!

Just in case anyone here is just a #fed in #nostrich clothing, I do self-custody cuz that way I can cry and wrap everyone in my drama when I tell everyone of my kayak incidents where I lose everything I hold...

People have too many excuses

I'm not even a techie and was able to get a HWW to use with sparrow wallet attached to my own full node.

LLMs will give you instructions and will troubleshoot problems for you

A lot of people used to think the internet (and email) was too difficult to figure out as well.. some elderly folks still do. They just don’t want to put forth the effort it seems

I like my Jade +

Self custody is an evolution of humanity most humans are not aware yet. Going to change pretty quick once we cross the next change of world order. Cause everyone is going to have a need to know at this point. Slowly. Then suddenly.

Just having your Bitcoin in your own hardware wallet hardly makes you "sovereign," but it's a start.

It makes your bitcoin ownership sovereign at least. Plenty of work still to do, but at least one part of it is easy.

The problem is people cannot experiment and learn about self custody because BTC fees are too high.

Transactions should be cheap so any one any where can make as many as they want

BTC has been hijacked and the tech has been crippled making it slow and expensive

The BCH version of bitcoin works better where transactions are instant and affordable by everyone

Self-custody is not hard. People who tell you it is are trying to sell you something

There are many non tech people like me, a 54 year old artist, who have figured out how to use HWWs.

@SeedSigner FTW!

I truthfully believe that the best way to expand bitcoin networks is 1 by 1

If every single one of us sat down with a new user, voluntarily, for free 1x every 6 weeks and gave them our undivided attention to set them up with a hardware device and teach them basic fundamentals things would change rapidly

“You can copy the recipe, but it’s part of our ethos to give the bread away for free” 🥖

Most people don’t care about protecting their money from the government. That’s why they flock to FDIC insured accounts. My grandma isn’t going to self custody her bitcoin. She’s far more likely to lose her keys than the government 6102ing her coins. Far more bitcoin has been lost to people screwing up self custody than intervention on legitimate use. We need to stop telling people they’re stupid, and work on custodial solutions if we want this to scale and integrate into society.
