A blocksize cap on Monero has been proposed @ 90MB.
Monero does not scale well due to its heavy transactions and now the devs have discovered that if blocks go above 100MB there is total node failure.
This is very optimistic because previous stress tests have shown nodes cannot even handle 5MB blocks.
