Japanese animation studio by a guy named Miyazaki. His movies are more artsy than traditional ones and unique in that they don't always have a bad guy. More of a meandering story style. Sometimes works, sometimes doesn't but has a big following.

I enjoyed howls moving castle and a couple others

Incredible movies. I love putting some of them on for my 3 year old daughter, since they are paced nicely, with great simple stories and beautiful artwork and music. I go to great length to not let her watch some of the more regular garbage. If a modern cartoon is toxic chemical candy, a studio ghibli movie is a delicious date. Still a snack, but natural and has its benefits.
