I like the guy, would have him over for dinner for sure.

Totally

I dont see how this would be good for Bitcoin.

A lot of people simp and worship him. Those people would look into Bitcoin if he seemed to like it. (He doesn't. He hates it. But, he also wants to stand for things and be pro things that his opposition does not, therefore he changed his stance on Bitcoin.) So if he's pro Bitcoin, then his minions will be for Bitcoin too. Now will they all stick around after he's gone? Who knows? Maybe by that time we'll be able to fully orange (and purple) pill them to show them why Bitcoin (and Nostr) are not political and give power back to the people and why this truly matters.

Orange man about to give orange pilling a whole new meaning 😱

Get him some orange pills to hand out 🀣

Trump doesn't care about bitcoin and bitcoin doesn't care about Trump.

Yes.

He built his businesses on massively leveraged debt. Can’t do that on a bitcoin standard.

He successfully navigated a system by understanding the incentive structure and outcompeting everyone else who was doing the same. You can do that on a bitcoin standard.

Obtaining massive Cantillon style loans and declaring business bankruptcy will be much harder.

Agreed. Which is why that is not what a smart competitive person would do on a bitcoin standard. They would probably consult with successful miners to figure out how to squeeze out smaller miners in order to maximize profits.

It's pure competition. Puck, race car, or ball. Net, finish line, or hoop. Regardless of the forum, there are those who see the path to finish first or score the most. People who understand the game will succeed. People who don't will feed on scraps. Who do you want on your team?

This will only keep many people away from btc. It gives btc a wrong image. He’s full fiat and is just playing bitcoiners as fools.

He will win me over when he does everything right this time because he's out of excuses. Who wins is not my decision
