yea the UK is a nanny state, but I don’t think that’s the primary reason it’s struggling and it’s definitely not the main reason the U.S. is still on top. There are way bigger factors at play like economic policy, global influence, innovation, and military power. Fireworks and gun laws are more of a symptom than a cause
