yea the UK is a nanny state, but I donβt think thatβs the primary reason itβs struggling and itβs definitely not the main reason the U.S. is still on top. There are way bigger factors at play like economic policy, global influence, innovation, and military power. Fireworks and gun laws are more of a symptom than a cause
The UK is a nanny state... a decadent society trying to protect the weak from lifeβs realities.
However, a man who needs fireworks to feel free is already enslaved. "Merica numba one"... nationalistic bragging as the last refuge of those who seek meaning not in themselves but in collective identity.

We all carry a pistol 24/7.
We all have a small college firearms like maybe 30 or so. Enought ammo to last through a small war, like 2,000 pounds or so.
All my neighbors think that is normal.
No one raped or injured or killed in our neighborhood.
In the UK the citizens can not legally carry anything that might be used as a weapon.
Not even harsh language is allowed.
A rapist or murderer gets probation.
The victim complaining gets jail time.
How is that working out for you?
