It's not one or the other. Yes, the system extracts money from citizens, but that doesn't negate the fact that Musk and Trump specifically steal from the people. Musk especially is the single biggest welfare queen in the country, gladly accepting billions in subsidies for himself and his companies while working to strip essential benefits from the poor and middle class.
