Most people want to contribute in some way. “Productive” is probably not the best word as it denotes something mechanical.

People want to live purposeful lives. The most purposeful thing in life is production.

Especially REPRODUCTION.

The Protestant work ethic was a cover for getting usury accepted. They even mistranslated the Bible to remove the analogizing of sin with usury.

One definition of productivity in my dictionary is "yielding positive results." I would say expressing yourself, connect with others, and exploring the world is a positive result.

I agree with productivity as a means and not an end. You must have the right alignment in your productivity. Otherwise, you’ll spend all your energy never getting what you truly want.

Productive lives is a lie sold to us by the same system that tells us endless inflation and debt is a good thing. Keeps us on the hamster wheel. Screw work, screw production. I want to spend my days playing with my kids, drinking morning coffees with my wife, growing vegetables & fruits, learning what interests me, not worrying about missing a deadline at work or even having to be at work. The freedom to choose IF and WHEN I work. I can only hope bitcoin brings me this freedom, it's my last roll of the dice.
