Wow. Apple rejected Zeus’ app submission.

“Guideline 3.1.5 - Business - Payments - Cryptocurrencies

Your app facilitates the transmission of a virtual currency but was not submitted by a corresponding exchange or recognized financial institution.

Next Steps

To resolve this issue, please provide documentary evidence demonstrating you have the necessary licenses and permissions to distribute an app with cryptocurrency exchange features in all the locations where your app is currently available.” nostr:note1cvf2xae8p5pvkxkwhdnayxqaun7a7ryk29exfc745d5hty4qft7qzln778

Wouldn’t this mean every wallet is doomed?

I have the same thoughts. My BlueWallet time is counted... Time for a cold wallet.

This is how they try to do away with “unhosted wallets.” The policy was put forward by Steve Mnuchin and is being carried out by Liz Warren to defend the legacy system at all costs.

What's next? Are we at the dawn of a resistance flow against web3 related apps by tech giants?

Nah, they’ll leave web 3 alone 😆

I don’t like this

How does Zeus differ from LN wallets already on the App Store?

Or did they spontaneously decide to go against all LN, or even regular wallets now?

I do remember a time years ago when the store policies effectively prevented any BTC wallet from getting accepted.

It's time to use alternative app stores, like F-Droid for Android, and to give the middle finger to Apple and Google.

Jailbreak is going to be a must again.

Apple is a private company and will decide as they deem appropriate. And so can we. The apestore does not have a place in the decentralized world. The iDevices seem a bad fit too. Sooooo - is this the beginning of “then they fight you”? I would appreciqte some guidance on how to replace my iStuff with alternative hardware/OS.
