Is there a way to connect Zeus to core lightning that's running on a nostr:npub126ntw5mnermmj0znhjhgdk8lh2af72sm8qfzq48umdlnhaj9kuns3le9ll node with Tailscale instead of Tor. It's so slow!!

it is. im so old that i remember when zeus didnt have dope branding and all it did was connect to your node

it fails a lot of the time too which is only more frustrating by comparison to the native/local zeus node

Not with Tailscale or LNC

How do I know that LNC isn't exposing my IP? Where can I find more docs on this?

if you use a vpn on the router level you would protect your ip from the mailbox server, i believe

Correct

This all sounds like a great feature for my grandma.

Sorry, I don't trust VPNs.

You can use Tailscale with the c-lightning-REST port and it should be snappy

Great! Is there a user guide for this? I'm not too technical.

Don’t have docs for this offhand. Maybe the Start9 team could help you.

This is not possible until 0.3.6, because CLN on StartOS does not have a port on the LAN. All hostname resultion is done using HTTPS and SNI. 0.3.6 gives services a unique port, so you will be able to use a VPN or even set up a clearnet domain. So only Tor for now.

You need to add a new node to Zeus or change the config for the current one to use the hostname of your node or whatever that node is called in Tailacale.

you should check in with the DIY chat group on the start9 telegram channel. if someone has done this, they are likely there
