Broadest sense = 1913.

the search result that comes up most often for that year is women's suffrage - is that what you meant though?

on my end here i wasn't aiming for particular years but more feeling out roughly where things changed - not very precisely

well, okay, a LITTLE bit of it was specific years - 1968 (the "year of protests") because that year did cause a major shift and so did 1993 (the web)

late 20s because much of the tech and science we continue to use emerged in the early 30s and late 70s because some of the first digital stuff began to get some adoption then - early home computers but also the first digitally recorded album - an ABBA record - around 1975.

Oh, things definitely changed that year! I will give you a hint : "The Creature of Jekyll Island" (don't be scared of it's size, its excellent reading πŸ˜‡)

Much love πŸ˜˜πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

They are probably talking about, that’s when the federal reserve was created

oh right, we're in coinbro land πŸ™„

all they think about is money

In this context, Anti-fiat land. Many people who don’t believe in bitcoin still believe the creation of the federal reserve was criminal.

it's a *fairly* American sort of anti-establishment perspective to have. we have anti-authoritarian perspectives in Europe too, but they don't tend to be so focused around the money supply. that's quite an American thing to do.

Eastern Europe has recent experience with hyperinflation.

Euro adoption or sticking with a national fiat currency is a major point of discussion.

Yeah there’s probably several reasons for that. The ECB is just as criminal, but I think we focus a lot more on the Fed since it’s policies directly affect the dollar (international trade settlement) and what other central banks decide to do, so it’s behavior has more weight.

Well, an institution which has the only purpose of robbing people… might not be criminal in the legal sense, still not right.

🍷I'll drink to that, cheers πŸ·πŸ·πŸ·πŸ˜˜πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ
