Why are there no instructions on using Coinos wallet in Damus? I used the one tap setup, it created a username it appears, then there is nothing you can click, no way to receive, no instructions. #asknostr

When you set it up it happens automatically…

This is your addy

It should show this when you edit your profile…

You are correct. I got it funded now. It’s not intuitive for new users. They made it simple to set up the wallet, but then no instructions for new users on how it works, how to fund, etc. It’s a “if you know the you know” setup, which is not conducive to attracting new nostr users.

Thanks for your help.

Yeah imho all clients/wallets/relays/signers/all of nostr and bitcoin need better instructions or documentation…

You’re welcome

100%. At this many years into development, it does surprise me a little that the devs haven’t run through setup with newbs and added better onboarding and education.

For real right…

Try nostr:nprofile1qqszpxr0hql8whvk6xyv5hya7yxwd4snur4hu4mg5rctz2ehekkzrvcpzamhxue69uhhyetvv9ujucm4wfex2mn59en8j6gpzemhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wd68ytnzv9hxgm24lmw, you’ll find it to be more user friendly, especially for noobs.

The setup may be automatic, but not the settings afterwards. It needs funding.

Dont use coinos, its custodial and has a account blacklist

I appreciate the info, but why do I need to care about those two things? New users need a bit more information.

Why you need to care? Because this wallet could block access to your bitcoin and has built in functionality to do so. Happened to me. It’s like a bank..

Meh, you shouldn’t be keeping much in your zap wallet anyway. I’ll load it as I need it with a few bucks.
